Today is a great day to be you!

Year 5 Camp - Forest Edge

Our Year 5 cohort has just returned from a wonderful three days away in Neerim East, staying at the CYC Forest Edge campsite. We were quite lucky with the weather - only getting a small amount of drizzle on the Tuesday morning - and all activities were able to go ahead as planned!

A new feature this year was the water slide - and feedback from many of the students was that this one was the favourite, along with river sledding. A huge congratulations to all students for showing the resilience to brave the cold water and make the most of these activities. I would estimate that some students went down the water slide 30-40 times each! The river sledding was a lot of fun for the students, and the flying fox also definitely ranked as a highlight. The night activities included a mindfulness walk and a camp fire (which, of course, included toasting marshmallows!), and then a hugely entertaining trivia night.

We were extremely proud of how the students conducted themselves and how they threw themselves into each and every activity. School camps create such amazing lifelong memories and we know all students will take away something special from this one.

Finally, a massive shout out to the staff and parent helpers who attended for the three days to ensure our students could have such a brilliant experience. We are so grateful for the time you all gave up from your own lives/families to come along and support our students.

Rangeview Colour Run - one week to go!

Next Friday November 24th, it's time for the Colour Run!

The event will begin at 2:00pm straight after B2. Students are allowed to wear white/light clothes to school for the day - we strongly suggest older clothes as you may just wish to throw them out afterwards!

This event was chosen by our student leadership group. They are very keen to put on a fun event for the school, and also raise important funds that will contribute to new equipment or facilities for the school, such as playgrounds.

We still encourage you to visit schoolfunrun.com.au and sign up your child for online fundraising. Based on some community feedback, we are also providing the option of donating any prizes/toys earned through fundraising to the Salvation Army Christmas Appeal. If you do not like the idea of your child bringing home more toys, doing some fundraising for the school and also providing a toy for a child who might not usually receive much at Christmas is a great way to make a small difference. We would love to see our Rangeview families get onboard with this movement - all you need to do is contact the office.

There are still a few spots left for parents to help out - please visit this link if you are able to assist on the day:

A huge thank you to those who have already signed up.

We are looking forward to a great afternoon of colour and fun!
