Bunnings BBQ – Sunday 3rd December

 

Rangeview have been lucky to be allocated a Bunnings BBQ at the Nunawading Store – we are very fortunate to be added to the rotation and hope that we can make it successful and continue this annually. Bunnings BBQs are very popular and a great opportunity to raise money. The funds raised at this year's Bunnings BBQ will be directly used for our Grade 6 graduation – this will help ensure that our Grade 6 students are honoured for their achievements without all the costs being placed on our families.

 

Bunnings BBQs are required to be operational from 9am-4pm and we kindly ask that if you have capacity on the day to help please do so. Please note that if we cannot cover the hours, we will need to look at fortifying our spot.

Yes, it’s true with the year's end fast approaching we are looking to the new year and all the fabulous events it has planned for us – and this will include our Rangeview Primary School Fair.

 

If you are interested in joining the planning group for this, I have included a link below for you to register your interest. 

 

We all have busy lives and not everyone has time to join the P&F Committee, but you may still have capacity to help plan our fabulous fair. Maybe you love food and want to research food truck options or have a knack for finding sponsors and raffle items. Second Hand Uniform Shop

In 2023 Our Rangeview Second Hand Uniform Shop will be run by Selina, Cassie and Tanny outside the office foyer. 

 

The shop will be open from 8:45 am-9:15 am on the first Tuesday of each month until June and then moving to the second Tuesday of each month until December, in addition to the Foundation transition days at the end of the year. 

 

 These are the remaining dates for 2023:

The best gift any parent can give a child is the love of books and the joy and benefits of independent reading for fun. Children who read at home, or are read to, have a head start on reading success in school.

 

Our school is participating in Scholastic Book Club this year. Up to twice a term, during the school year, we will send home a Club catalogue with a different selection of books offered for all ages.  

 

You’ll find award-winning books and bestsellers, as well as old and new favourites. We recommend them because the books span a wide range of children’s reading levels and interests and because they are inexpensive (some books cost as little as $2).

 

It is easy to order. The Book Club LOOP platform for parents allows you to pay by credit card. Your child’s order is submitted directly to school safe and sound and the books will be delivered to class. You can place your child’s order at www.scholastic.com.au/LOOP or using the LOOP app, which can be downloaded from the App Store or Google Play. 

Please note that we only accept online orders through the Parent “LOOP”  

 

Owning your own books is something special! We hope that you will encourage your child to order books this year. Each order helps earn free books and teaching materials for our classrooms, however there is never any obligation to order. We know of no better way to encourage reading than to allow children to choose the books they want to read.
