St Kevin’s Clubs 

At St Kevin’s Mrs Leone, our principal, wanted to ensure that we have different activities to do and keep us entertained at lunch time. Therefore she has introduced lunch time clubs.  

The clubs that we’re opening in St. Kevin’s are:

Lego Club:

Every Friday, St Kevin has a Lego Club in the performing arts room at lunchtime. Mrs George supervises the children in the club, allowing children to build and create different buildings using Lego. 

Colouring Club: 

Every Monday; St Kevin has a Colouring Club at the library at lunchtime. Ms Leone and Ms Tomazos will be inside the club to supervise the children at the club to colour sheets; and also for people to read books at the library. 

Library Club:

Every Tuesday; St Kevin has a Library Club at the library at lunchtime. Ms Jo and I  will be at the library to supervise the children at the library to read books in silence. At the Library Club, you can still have the opportunity to borrow books. 

Technology at our school

At St Kevin’s we use lots of technology for doing educational activities like Essential Assessment, Mathletics or 99 Maths. But how do we access tech, what do we use it for and why?

What we use to access technology at St Kevin’s:  

At St Kevin’s the Juniors (Prep-Grade Two) access technology usually by an ipad or their teacher’s laptop for learning purposes. The students use their ipads to help with their reading such as reading eggs.

The Middles and Seniors (Grade 3-Grade 6) mostly use their Macbooks to do certain activities that they can’t completely do on paper by using Google Classroom and Google Drive.  They might also use iPads for taking photos and filming around or outside the classroom.

What we use technology for and why: 

Tech. isn’t all about fun games like Roblox or Minecraft, it is also used for educational uses and more. But here at St Kevin’s we use it for learning and educational games like Studdyladder or Mathletics or even Blooklet!  If we never use it for the wrong purposes and if we do we get timeout and our tech gets taken away for a certain amount of time!
