Camp Australia
Dear Families,
Last week our World Play Day was a lot of fun. After our warm up drama games, we were able to start on our group Lego building of our Lego playground. At the start, the children worked together in groups of 2-3 to make a part of the playground. We then moved onto working in bigger groups where the children could share ideas and work in a bigger team. At the end we were able to join all our Lego creations together and make one big playground.
This week we got out our green thumbs and spent our time learning about gardens and starting to grow our own plants at OSHC. Our pot plant gnomes where really cute and would look great in any pot plant. The patty pan flowers went well and some of the children turned them into spinning parachute toys. Very creative.
On Friday we had pizza toast for afternoon tea which I was told was amazing! We are having it this Friday too. Berry smoothies where on the menu for Thursday morning and from the look of the empty smoothie jug, I can assume it was a success.
We are looking forward to the upcoming Halloween and Melbourne Cup celebrations and also our Rubbish Robot Week in mid November where we learn about reducing, reusing and recycling and get to make our own rubbish robots.
See you next week!
