2023 School Fete

From Our Fete Committee 

 

Our school fete is just 1 month away now and we hope everyone is getting excited! This is our first fete since 2019 and it’s ramping up to be a fantastic event.

 

What is the fete?

 

On Saturday 18 November, from 11am - 4pm, our school grounds will be transformed into a big funfair! Rides, games, food, amazing performances, sports zone - so many things to do!

 

Why are we having the fete?

 

Firstly, we want to give our kids an amazing day that they won’t forget. This is also a chance to showcase our wonderful school - really our first chance to open our gates and fully engage with the wider community since 2019.

 

Very importantly, we are also fundraising to raise money for a new turf for our soccer pitch. A new pitch will cost the school approximately $60,000 and we are hoping to raise around half of this ($30,000) at the fete.

 

We need your help!

 

You’ve probably been swamped with requests for donations, raffle tickets, class hampers! It costs a lot to hire rides and set up the fete, and with our big fund raising target every little bit counts. Thanks to the support of local businesses, we've covered most of the set up costs and have  got some amazing items lined up for our silent auction. Thanks to you, our toy, plant and book stalls will have heaps on offer. 

 

Most of the stalls and activities will be run by our school community. Each class will be asked to be in charge of 1 or 2 stalls. Our class parent representatives will be asking for help to prepare, set up and run these stalls or activities on the day

 

We will need lots of volunteers to make this day a success, so please be generous with your time and remember we are working together for the benefit of our children.

 

Come along on the day, bring your child's friends or grandparents, grab a bargain, grab some delicious food, and have FUN! We can’t wait to see you there.
