Assistant Principal News

I hope all of our CPS families are enjoying some warm weather that we started to have. After very long winter, I am sure that the warmth of the sun is much appreciated by everyone. At the same time, warmer weather is a great reminder for us to be safe under such strong sun light. A broad-rim hat must be worn by all students and staff during outdoor activities at Caulfield Primary School. This includes excursions and sporting events, unless students are specifically instructed otherwise. In case students forget to bring their hat, they will be asked to sit under the cover of the weatherboard building during playtime. Please encourage your child to check whether they have their hat on or to put it in their school bag before leaving home each morning. School hats can be purchased at our office, if any students need a new one.

長い冬もようやく終わり、暖かさを感じる日も増えてきました。暖かい気候は紫外線予防のお知らせでもあり、オーストラリアの強い日差しの中で安全な夏を過ごしたいですね。本校では、９月１日から４月３０日までの間、休み時間、または遠足やスポーツのイベントなどの屋外活動の際に、ひだの広い帽子（学校指定の帽子を含む）の着用が必須となっております。お家を出る前に帽子を持ったか確認する習慣をつけるよう、ご家庭でもご指導いただけますようお願いいたします。新しい帽子が必要な方は学校のオフィスで購入頂けますので、ご来校の際にお尋ねください。

We have now uploaded those policies on the school website, please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions about them.

Snapshots from the classroom

When I visited Kurokawa Sensei’s Y3/4 classroom, they were in the middle of Respectful Relationships lesson. This week, they were discussing how all of can encounter problems sometimes, but problems can be solved in many ways and there are always variety of options to do so. Depending on how we solve our problem, outcome might be also different. I was impressed how engaged our students were during this discussion. 

今週。３・４年生の教室を訪れた時、「尊重しあう関係」の授業をしていました。授業の焦点は「問題解決」について。生活の中でさまざまな問題に直面することがありますが、そのような時に解決方法はたくさんあり、どの方法を取るかによって結果も変わってくる、ということを学んでいました。

Our Prep – Y2 students had a great time outside during the Junior Sports Day! Students enjoyed a variety of events, such as sack race, egg & spoon race, tag-o-war and many more! Special thanks to Miss Molloy who organised this event and many parents who joined in to support our students!

プレップから２年生までを対象としたスポーツデイが開催されました！サックレースや卵をスプーンに乗せて走るレース、綱引きなどさまざまな競技を楽しみました。計画、準備をしてくれたモロイ先生、それからお手伝いに参加してくださった保護者の皆様、ありがとうございました！
