Poem by our Crossing Supervisor
The Students at Oakleigh Grammar
John Atkin
I'm standing on the school crossing at Oakleigh. grammar waiting for the students to arrive,
Getting them across the road safely is what I strive.
They all have a friendly smile and say good morning have a nice day,
Despite the weather they are always cheerful and respectful come what may.
They always have on me a calming effect,
If I were to be blessed with grandchildren for a grand and joyful education Oakleigh Grammar would be the school I would select
Nature
John Atkin
There's a lot of sadness around the world we ought to make those folk feel right, we need to fill folks hearts with cheerfulness and let their thoughts take flight.
We see a lot of beauty in our world it's always all around, if we all turn to nature each day it's easy to be found.
There's lots of wonder In our world in the oceans, countryside and sky, so let's look and find a little each day don't let it pass us by! John Atkin Oakleigh grammar school crossing supervisor.
Uniform News
We need you!
The second hand Uniform Shop is an amazing resource for our families, run by an incredible bunch of parent volunteers. Uniform Shop leader Desi, is hanging up her boots after dedicating eight years to ensuring parents have access to affordable, good-quality second-hand uniforms, not to mention providing a means for parents to sell their children’s outgrown uniforms.
We are now seeking a new Uniform Shop leader to manage volunteers and run the shop a few hours per month. You’ll be in charge of our new dedicated Uniform Shop near the Bletchley Road entrance which will open soon. It is a great way to meet parents, and connect with the broader community.
