The Principal Team

Only 8 more sleeps to our Twilight Fest.  Saturday November 18th 4pm to 9pm

Our Twilight Fest is fast approaching and as it nears we reflect on months of preparation. We are so grateful to everyone who has worked so hard to provide our community with an event that will bring us all together for a magnificent evening. See you there!

Of course, final preparations and still taking place. Our Working Bee this Sunday morning is a chance to contribute. Our dedicated Fete Committee will be getting ready, but there is we also request volunteers to help with ensuring our grounds look their best

Working Bee - Sunday 12th November

Our final Working Bee for the year will be held on the morning of Sunday 12th November 9am - 11 am. This is a special edition of our Working Bees as it will focus on preparations for our upcoming fete. I know many of you are working hard on the stalls and events for the big day and we thank you for that. If you would like to contribute this Working Bee is the perfect opportunity to help us get our grounds ready with a big tidy up.

Let us know if you can make it at this link. Thank you.

Celebration of Sarah Foster

Thank you to everyone who attended and supported last week's remembrance of Sarah Foster.  Her parents and family messaged us to thank all concerned and said it was comforting for them to know Sarah lives on in our memories.

LOUD FENCES MOVEMENT

I'd like our community to be aware that leading up to Tuesday 14th November, National Survivor Day, members of the Loud Fences Movement are planning to tie further ribbons to the fences at our school. This is a global movement that seeks to show support for survivors and victims of child sexual abuse.

I understand that ribbons will be tied to fences of a number of schools and institutions in our area on that day. This movement is in response to historical issues of child sex abuse at Beaumaris Primary, however we would like to reassure the school community they should have no concerns about current staff or their children’s safety at our school.

Covid Guidelines

Unfortunately we have seen an increase in student and staff absences over the last week. This has been largely due to illness, including a number of reported Covid cases. We hope everyone stays safe and well, and ask you to be mindful of any of the following symptoms experienced by family members.

If you have any of these symptoms, however mild, you are strongly recommended to seek advice and get tested. COVID-19 symptoms include:

  • fever
  • chills or sweats
  • cough
  • sore throat
  • shortness of breath
  • runny nose
  • loss or change in sense of smell and taste.

Some people may also experience headaches, muscle soreness, stuffy nose, nausea, vomiting and diarrhoea. You may also seek advice from your doctor or by phoning the national 24/7 Coronavirus Hotline on 1800 020 080.

Will you be at Beaumaris Primary next year?

We are working towards establishing staffing for 2024 and determining student numbers is essential. Our numbers at Beaumaris Primary remain strong, but if you are aware your child or children won't be with us next year, it would be very helpful if you could let our office admin team know as soon as possible. Thank you.
