STEM

A huge thank you to all the families and community members who attended our annual STEM Festival! It was wonderful to see so many people join us for an evening full of creativity, curiosity and hands-on learning. Your support helped make the event such a fantastic success for our school community.
This term in STEM, our lower primary students have been having an exciting time working with Ozobots and learning the basics of line coding. Using special colour codes, students have been programming their Ozobots to perform different moves and actions. They’ve also completed creative challenges such as building tunnels, homes, mazes and even miniature cities for their Ozobots to explore! The next step in their learning journey is block coding, where students will begin creating digital coded programs that can be uploaded directly onto the Ozobots. Watch this space — there’s plenty more exciting learning to come!
Meanwhile, our upper primary students have been diving into website design using Google Sites as part of a collaborative STEM and Art project. Students have been designing websites for their very own fashion brands while learning valuable digital skills such as hyperlinking, logo design and universal design principles to ensure their websites are accessible and inclusive for everyone. It has been wonderful to see students combining creativity with technology to produce some truly impressive work.
Enjoy a sneak peek at some of the fantastic student-created websites, along with the incredible Ozobot creations designed by our lower primary students!
