Special Persons Stall
Our Mother's & Special Persons Day stalls will be held next week.
Kinder stalls will run Wednesday 6th and Thursday 7th May 9am - 10am ($2 per child).
The school stall will be held on Friday 8th May 9am-12pm, with gifts ranging from $1 - $5.
We need some help running the stalls, so if you can spare an hour or two, it would be greatly appreciated! 😃
If you are free to help out, please sign up at: https://volunteersignup.org/CL8T3
A valid WWCC is essential to volunteer on the day.
Thanks to parent Jo who co ordinated the event this year.
Student Hats
Mount Pleasant Road Primary School & Kindergarten operates a SunSmart policy requiring students and children to wear approved sun-protective hats during the months hwne UV is at its highest. Now that the UV levels have dropped, wearing hats is no longer necessary all the time. You can put them away for now and bring them out again later in the year when the UV levels rise.
Working Bee
We are looking forward to our upcoming Working Bee on Saturday the 23rd of May from 8:00am to 10:00am, and warmly invite all families to come along and get involved. It’s a fantastic opportunity to help improve our school grounds, while also connecting with other members of our community.
Students are very welcome to attend alongside their parents or carers, provided they are supervised at all times. There will be a range of tasks available, so whether you can contribute for the full time or just a short time, every bit of help makes a real difference.
Information how to sign up will come out shortly.
ATOSS- Student Attitudes to School Survey
The AtoSS is a voluntary student survey offered by the Department of Education every year to students in Levels 4 to 12 to help schools and the department understand students' experiences of school. We will ask your child about their thoughts and feelings about their school, their learning, relationships with other students, resilience, bullying, health and wellbeing, physical activity, and life in general. This year, the survey will be conducted between 11th May to 12th June.
The department will only use aggregated state-wide survey data to report on initiatives and this data may also be used in public discussions of issues about student engagement and wellbeing. An example of how survey data has been previously used includes reporting levels of student engagement in the Performance Summary in the Annual Report to the School Community. The department will not share any identifiable student data with any other party. Rangeview will only get reports about groups of students. Information about individual students and the student answers data file is not shared with schools. If there are low numbers of student answers to a question, the report will not show results for this question to protect the privacy of those students.
This survey is voluntary. If you do not want your child to do the survey, please opt out by emailing your school before the survey starts on Monday 11th May. Student personal information will be shared with ORIMA Research to facilitate survey preparations prior to this opt out process. If you opt your child out of participating, then your school will ensure that your child is not provided with access to the survey. Student details will be deleted by ORIMA Research at the conclusion of the survey. If your school does not receive a “Refusal of Consent” email from you before the survey begins, we will assume that you agree for your child to take part in the 2026 Attitudes to School Survey.
For more information about this survey, including the questions your child will be asked to answer, please visit the department’s survey information page. If you would like more information or have any concerns about the survey, please speak to your child’s teacher, or contact the department at school.surveys@education.vic.gov.au.
