Spring Fair Thank You
What a weird and wonderful day Sunday was. After a lovely morning, Mother Nature delivered a blast in the middle of the day and then we had a beautiful afternoon. It was certainly interesting and very Victorian.
That being said, we had a hugely successful day. The stalls looked beautiful, we had loads of support from the school community, the atmosphere was electric and the sound of fun and joy were loud - just what we wanted.
This could not have happened without great leadership. I'd like to express my deepest thanks to Beth Wilson for her amazing leadership of the Spring Fair Committee. Beth has worked tirelessly for 12 months to ensure we all had a great day.
Beth was supported by a wonderful committee of people. I'd like to thank:
Jess Mitchell for her co leadership of the committee. Jess was always there to support the committee and Beth, and went above and beyond on the Fair weekend to be available to support us all. She was a huge member of the Bump In and Bump Out team.
Jousoot Chung for her financial leadership of the committee. She tracked the spending and income in such a way as we always knew how we were tracking and could make good decisions for the outcome of the Fair. Her support of the financial processes on Fair day was also exceptional.
Jeanette Davies for supporting the Fair Committee and helping in the Counting House to ensure our money was banked.
Philippe Perry for his wonderfuil leadership of the food stalls. His ability to know our needs and source the required equipment and food made the day run very smoothly.
Sponsorship Team led by Eliza Sadler and Jo Millhouse did an enormous job gaining sponsorship before the Fair, covering many of our costs.
Christina Beaumont for her organisation of the raffle. The prizes were amazing and the time required to ensure tickets were collected and sorted every day was a huge committment. Christina was also tireless in her work during the Bump In and Bump Out and on the day of the Fair.
Georgia Akkerman for her outstanding support with the Bump In and Bump Out and meeting everyone's needs on the Fair day.
Anthony Campbell for his amazing work at Bumping the Fair in and Out. Anthony is responsible for the amazing electrical system that supported every single stall on the day. It was a mamoth job on Saturday putting it all together but also required a huge amount of work leading up to the Fair to ensure we had everything covered.
Sarah Spitty and Bonny Ward for organising the rosters - a huge undertaking
Stall Leaders did an amazing job organising produce, decorating the stalls and organising their teams. The Fair looked gorgeous and really added to the atmosphere of the day. Watching the stalls all come to life on Sunday morning was very special.
Stall volunteers - without you we could not possibly have had a successful day. It was lovely to see your happy faces as you served members of our community on such a special day.
Carolina Rodrigues for our lovely art work, it was very eye catching.
Matt Black for organising and leading the bar stall, products and crew. A very popular stop in the afternoon.
Visual Art Staff for organising the Art Show - a brilliant addition to our Fair
Performing Arts Staff for organising Malvern's Got Talent, a popular event at the Fair.
Class Coordinators for supporting us by sending out communications to your grades.
Cadell Duke for MCing on the day.
Ben Parker for performing on the day, in less than wonderful conditions.
Community members both of our school and our extended families and friends - thank you for coming and retuning after the weather event.
I hope I have not forgotten anybody in this list, if I have I am sorry. This was another very special day that could not have happened without the wonderful Malvern Primary School community and we are all grateful for your support.
Although we don't have a final profit figure yet, we can tell you that the results are promising, even more so, given the weather in the middle of the day.
