Year 8 Maths

Our Year 8 students are on Maths Pathways. As part of the learning curriculum, they sometimes embark on an investigative task called a RICH Learning Task. Our Year 8 teachers came together to design a task that got students to work out how much sand we had over at the long jump sand pit. The students used tape measures and worked in groups to find out how much sand there is and how much money it would cost to replace the sand in the pit. The task got the students to use measurement techniques learnt in class and applied it to a real work situation.

Horticulture Clean Up

I am so very proud of the hard work and creativity the Year 7s and Year 9s have demonstrated during this special project in Horticulture to clean up around the Classroom on the oval.
