Year 8 Camp
Year 8 Camp Fun at Port Macquarie!
Our Year 8 students are having an absolute blast at their camp in Port Macquarie this week! From exciting outdoor activities to bonding with friends, it’s been a week full of laughter, adventure, and unforgettable memories.
The students are embracing every moment, making the most of nature, teamwork, and all the fun challenges that come with camp life!
Year 9 Camp
Year 9 Coffs Harbour Camp - Week 5 Recap
In Week 5 of this term, Year 9 students embarked on an unforgettable adventure to Coffs Harbour for their annual camp. The excitement began right from the start, with a refreshing stop at Dorrigo National Park Lookout, where students enjoyed stunning views of the clouds (though not much else!) as they stretched their legs.
Upon arrival at Darlington Beach Resort, we were welcomed by Sharon, our friendly camp liaison, who provided us with an overview of the camp rules and a humorous warning about the aggressively friendly wildlife that would accompany us throughout the week. Kangaroos and Brush-turkeys were frequent visitors, with some even boldly demanding breakfast!
The week was packed with a variety of activities that kept everyone engaged and excited. We split into smaller groups, rotating through the day's events. One memorable day included full access to the Big Banana, where students had the chance to enjoy the ice-skating rink, water park, laser tag, toboggan rides, giant slides, mini golf, and even a 4D cinema experience!
Another highlight was swinging through the rainforest at Treetops Adventure. Harnessed up and ready to face the challenge, students climbed, jumped, and zip-lined through the treetops, pushing themselves to conquer tough obstacles and overcome their fears.
The final activity of the trip was the Bear Grylls Survival Academy, where students learned essential survival skills, including how to build aqueducts, start a fire using flint and steel, construct a tent from scratch, and even sample meal worms! It was an excellent hands-on learning experience that also taught the importance of teamwork in overcoming challenges.
Overall, the Year 9 camp was a huge success, filled with new experiences, exciting activities, and plenty of fun. It was an adventure that will undoubtedly leave students with lifelong memories and stories to share!
Year 10 Camp Adventure to Sydney!

Q Station: A fascinating historical site, where they explored Sydney's quarantine history.
Australian Museum: An inspiring stop with incredible exhibits and rich history.

SRE Christmas Celebration
Students had Christmas all wrapped up for this year’s SRE Christmas Celebration. Stories of the first Christmas, games, prizes and Armidale’s very own Christmas tree all helped us reflect on the question - What does Christmas have to do with love? BOOST student leaders and local volunteers led discussions and activities for a joyful and thought-provoking time.
