JOY to the world and PEACE in our lives, homes and hearts!

As 2024 comes to an end and we celebrate Christmas, I am reminded about the incredible power of gratitude and joy! For many in the BPS community I am sure there have been times throughout the year where gratitude and joy have been far from your minds. Worry, stress, hardships of many kinds have smothered your peace and joy at times. You are not alone if this has been your experience. However, I also know that there have been lots of moments to celebrate in our own lives and those in our community.

Reflecting on the year at BPS, I feel incredibly grateful, and many joys come to mind. Having gotten to know many of the children better this year, I have seen significant growth and maturity in areas such as social interaction, behavioural regulation, emotional intelligence just to name a few.

I have seen so many acts of kindness, big and small by students, staff and families. I have had the privilege to walk along side some in our community who have shown incredible courage and determination to deal with adversities.

I'm so grateful for the staff that constantly give abundantly to your children and each other. I'm grateful for the leadership of this school who do their best to navigate all of the complexities of running BPS with genuine care and patience. I'm grateful for the parents and carers who volunteer their time to support the children and wider school needs. I'm grateful for each of you and especially your precious children who are the heart of BPS. To those amazing grade 6 children and families who are finishing up at BPS, I wish you joy and peace in your next season, we will miss you.

Personally, Christmas is always a time I love to celebrate and reflect on the meaning

behind the season. It is here that I find my joy and peace.

May each of us experience joy and peace in our lives, homes and hearts over the holiday season. Thankyou BPS community for an amazing year :)

Kind Regards,
