Grade 3 & 4
Term 4, Week 10
Dear Year 3 & 4 Families,
It has been such a wonderful and fulfilling year for us with your children. It’s hard to believe it's already over! The students have worked so hard and have grown by leaps and bounds.
In Writing, students learned about Narrative Writing. They explored the narrative structure and learned how to write an orientation, complication, series of events, and resolution. This allowed them to express their stories creatively. We saw immense imagination and individuality in their writing, which left us truly impressed.
In Mathematics, our Grade 3 and 4 students delved into the intriguing worlds of money and various measurement concepts. They approached these topics with enthusiasm and a thirst for knowledge.
In Inquiry, to wrap up their unit, students created informative materials outlining the challenges facing a specific endangered species and suggesting solutions to make a difference. The projects showcased their research skills, creativity, and ability to communicate critical information effectively.
On November 7, 2024, we had an excursion to the Healesville Sanctuary. Students learned about different animals, Aboriginal culture, and how the environment was used to make tools.
As we end another school year, we would like to thank you for placing your trust in us to look after and educate your children.
We wish you a safe and relaxing summer break.
