COHR Feast Day

It certainly was a hot way to celebrate our Feast Day last Friday!  Although there is no feast called Christ Our Holy Redeemer or even Holy Redeemer, we link our Feast Day to the last Sunday of the liturgical year - the feast of Our Lord Jesus Christ, King of the Universe! A mighty title for a mighty school and we celebrated in a mighty way whilst trying to keep cool.

We began our day with our assembly, where our Mini Vinnies Team launched their Christmas Appeal.

This appeal consists of a Christmas Tree set up in the office with baubles, each with a gender and an age written on it. We would love for you to pick a label off of the tree and bring a present for the specific age and gender listed on it - and all donations would go towards St Vincent De Paul's Society. Please make sure that you have received the permission of your parents before you take a label off. Once you have purchased the gift, you can wrap the gift up and put it under the Christmas tree.

We are looking for brand new toy donations that you think would light up someone's Christmas morning. We are asking that the gifts are wrapped. Just remember, that this present doesn't have to be the fanciest, it just has to suit that age and gender. Please remember not to buy anything with batteries. We ask that when you are buying for younger than 3, you include toys that are suitable for them.

Remember that you have to get consent from an adult before you pick a bauble off. There will be no choosing which bauble you pick.

We would be so grateful for your donations! Thank you

-The Mini Vinnies Team

After Assembly we celebrated with Mass together. The middle block was taken up with decorating our carpark with all the things we love about COHR, drawing with our Buddies. Thanks to Crayola for the donation of the chalk.

The afternoon concluded with our COHR's Got Talent! Talent aplenty there certainly was - some magic, some singing, piano playing and we finished with the one and only Darcy and his electric guitar.

To finish off this hot and active day we held our Movie Night , thank to those who came to help us finish off some of our Fete leftovers and donate to the Mini Vinniew Christmas Appeal.
