A Heartfelt Thank You for Your Support at Breakfast Club

I would like to start this week’s newsletter by extending a huge thank you to all our amazing parents who stepped in at the last minute to help with Breakfast Club last Friday. Due to the unexpected illness of our School Social Worker, and the short cancellation notice, we were faced with a sudden challenge, but thanks to your quick response and support, the event went off without a hitch.

A special shout-out to our dedicated STEM teacher, Ms. Patel, for taking the lead and guiding our parent volunteers. Her proactive leadership, especially under the circumstances, helped ensure that our students were provided with the most important meal of the day, setting them up for success in the classroom.

We are truly grateful for the sense of community that was evident on Friday. It is because of parents like you, and the collaborative efforts of our staff, that our students were able to start their day on the right note.

Thank you again for your unwavering support – together, we are making a positive impact on our students' well-being and success!

Prep Transition – Orientation

We held our last Prep Transition – Orientation session during the week and our 2025 Prep students found out who their teacher and classmates will be for the year. We are looking forward to being a part of their learning journey and celebrating many more moments of growth and achievement.

Parent Volunteer Thank You Morning Tea

We held our Parent Volunteer Thank You Morning Tea this morning to thank our parent helpers for their contributions and work throughout the year. We have held some very rewarding and enjoyable events this year and we look forward to continuing working together for the benefit of our students and our school.

Wellbeing – Mindfulness

Did you know?

We spend 49% of our waking hours thinking about something else other than what we are doing!

Mindfulness is a mental state where you focus on the present, without judging or being distracted. Mindfulness can help you feel better and reduce stress. It is a useful strategy to assist you to deal with difficult emotions and situations. It is a way to train yourself to focus your attention in a certain way and can help you in your day to day life, work, relationships and overall wellbeing.

Regular mindfulness practice can improve our:

  • Immune system
  • Energy Levels
  • Sleep Quality
  • Awareness
  • Memory
  • Productivity

Find a mindfulness activity that suits you and that you enjoy. Here are some suggestions:

  • Listening to music
  • Exercise, such as walking
  • Colouring
  • Completing puzzles
  • Meditation
  • Yoga

Mindfulness is a strategy we use at school. Ask your child to share what their favourite mindfulness activity at school is.
