Welcome!

A message from the Principal
St Peter’s Feast Day Mass & Baptism
We will celebrate St Peter’s Feast Day Mass on the last day of term 2, Friday, 4th July. All families are warmly invited to join us for Mass at St Kilian’s Church, followed by a morning tea back at school.
Over the last five years, several families in our school community, have chosen to celebrate their baptism during this special event. We would like to extend the invitation again to any families who are interested in having their child or any family member baptised during the Mass. If you are interested or would like more information, please contact Mr. Wilkinson. We look forward to celebrating this meaningful occasion with our school community!
Assembly
Last week, we began our student assemblies, with Year 5/6 Banya leading the first one. They did an outstanding job, sharing their own personal Acknowledgement of Country from memory, leading prayer, and providing an update on the learning happening in their classrooms. Some fantastic writing pieces were also shared, highlighting recent events in Year 5/6. This Friday, we look forward to Year 3/4 Wirrap leading the next assembly.
School Closure Day
Next week, on Tuesday, 17th June, we will have a school closure day for professional development as part of Sandhurst Magnify. Please mark this date on your calendars if you haven't already. This will be a student-free day.
Celebrating Pentecost
This past Sunday, our parish community gathered to celebrate Pentecost at Mass at St Kilian’s Church. Pentecost commemorates the day when the Holy Spirit descended upon the apostles, empowering them to spread the message of Christ to all nations. This event is often seen as the "birthday of the Church," marking the moment when the apostles were sent out to begin their mission, guided by the Holy Spirit.
During the Mass, we reflected on the importance of the Holy Spirit in our lives, acknowledging how the Spirit continues to guide and strengthen us in our faith journey. It was a joyful celebration, bringing our parish family together in prayer and worship.
May the Holy Spirit continue to guide and inspire us as we move forward in faith and service.
Prayer for Pentecost
Holy Spirit,
We come before You today with open hearts,
Seeking Your guidance, wisdom, and strength.
Fill us with Your presence,
Just as You filled the disciples on Pentecost.
Help us to listen to Your voice,
To follow Your promptings with courage and faith.
Empower us to be messengers of Your love and peace,
Bringing hope and healing to those around us.
We pray that Your gifts of wisdom, understanding, Counsel, fortitude, knowledge, piety, and fear of the Lord May be poured out upon us,
So we can live faithfully and serve others in Your name.
Come, Holy Spirit, Renew us and our world,
And help us be witnesses of Your truth and love.
Amen.
God Bless,
Jeremy Darmody
