Year 6 Jumpers

The Year 6s received their Class of 2025 jumpers last week, to great excitement.
Peter and Ekamjot delivered a beautiful speech about what their Year 6 jumper represents.
"Good afternoon everyone.
Thank you for being here to share this special moment with us.
Today, the Year 6 students receive our jumpers...these jumpers are more than just something to keep us warm – they represent a big step in our journey at Albanvale Primary School.
Wearing a Year 6 jumper means we’ve reached the final chapter of our primary school years. It’s a symbol of how far we’ve come, how much we’ve grown, and the responsibility we now carry as the leaders of our school.
Being a leader doesn’t always mean standing up and giving a speech or having a badge. Sometimes, it means helping someone without being asked, listening when others speak, including someone who feels left out, and setting the right example every single day.
Our jumpers remind us that we’re role models now – for the younger students, for each other, and for ourselves. We want to make the most of this year by showing leadership through our actions, our words, and our choices.
This is our chance to make a difference, to leave a positive legacy, and to finish our time at Albanvale with pride.
Thank you to our teachers, our families, and the whole school community for helping us reach this point. We’re proud to wear our Year 6 jumpers, and we’re ready to lead with respect and responsibility.
Thank you. "
