The Year 7 - 10 parent/teacher/student interviews and the Year 5 and 6 parent/teacher interviews will be held on the last days of this term.  Please see the attached letters with further information. 

Staff meeting early finish day - Monday 16 June

A reminder to parents that school will finish early this coming Monday 16 June, due to a staff meeting.  The Academic Annexe will remain open on that afternoon.  There will be no training after school that afternoon.

da Vinci Competiton

As mentioned in Woodchatta previously, students from Years 5 – 10 recently competed in the State da Vinci Competition at Knox Grammar. In teams of eight, we competed against the best teams from across the Greater Sydney area, in ten different subject areas. Many of the boys had been preparing for the event by attending the da Vinci Club, which was run before school.  The students all performed well in this highly challenging academic competition.

We have now received formal results from the competition.  Following is a summary of all our placings. Only the top 15 from each category are published.

State 

Year 5: 3rd Ideation

Year 6: 10th Cartography, 13th Mathematics 

Year 8: 12th English, 15th Science, 8th Legacy

Year 9: 15th Code Breaking

Year 10: 13th Cartography, 11th Engineering, 12th Mathematics 

Year 11 Regional

Overall 4th

1st Legacy, 2nd Art and Poetry, 2nd Cartography, 4th Mathematics, 4th Code Breaking, 7th Engineering, 8th English, 8th Science, 9th Creative Producers, 9th Ideation. 

Congratulations to all students who represented the College. Da Vinci Club will be on again in Term 4 and is open to any student who is interested in challenging themselves with other like-minded students.
