Parent Orbit App

I am thrilled to introduce Parent Orbit, a revolutionary mobile app designed exclusively for St Patrick’s College, Strathfield parents/carers! This cutting-edge tool is your gateway to seamless communication and instant access to essential updates, resources, and more.

Parent Orbit will replace the SPC app and Parent Lounge as sources of information for parents/carers. It will have stricter security and easier access for parents to receive information and push notifications.

Parent Orbit is designed to cater specifically to the needs of parents/carers, providing a user-friendly interface that makes it easy to stay connected with the school community. The app offers a range of features, including real-time notifications, access to important documents, event calendars, and the ability to communicate directly with teachers and school staff. Say goodbye to the traditional SPC App and Parent Lounge, as Parent Orbit is here to elevate your experience and focus entirely on parents’/carers’ needs.

We are also enhancing parent security, by changing the way to connect with the College digitally. You will no longer use a shared six-digit code and password. Your personal email address, registered with the College, will serve as your key to unlock these platforms. Setting up your account password is easy, and you’ll soon receive an email with simple instructions to get started. This upgrade ensures you’ll enjoy a personalised, secure login experience with your own unique email and password—no more shared credentials.

To further enhance security, we are implementing Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA). MFA adds an extra layer of protection by requiring not only your password but also a second form of verification, such as a code sent to your mobile device. This ensures that even if someone obtains your password, they won't be able to access your account without the second verification step. Setting up MFA is simple and will be included in the email instructions you receive. This added security measure is crucial in protecting your personal information and ensuring the safety of our digital environment.

Staff News

We welcome Mr Adam Watson, our new Director of Co-curricular, who commenced with the College this week.
Mr Jean-Paul Boumelhem (Class of2012) has been appointed as the Assistant Year 9 Coordinator and RE teacher, replacing Mr Youssef. Jean-Paul will commence on Tuesday 22nd July 2025. He is an experienced educator who is currently working at another EREA school, Waverley College.
Please keep Mrs Rosetta Garzaniti and her family in your prayers as her brother-in-law died suddenly over the weekend following a tragic accident in the Hunter Valley.
Mrs Cristina Polito will be on Long Service Leave for the first seven weeks of Term 3. Mrs Emily Saoud will be Acting Executive Assistant to the Principal and Mrs Mary Mouawad will be the Acting Enrolment Officer.
Mr Michael Pilkington, who has been our Acting Head of English, will be going on Long Service Leave for the rest of the year. We wish him a well-earned rest. We will welcome back Mr Adam Leslie to the College as he resumes his role of Head of English.
