Student Reports

Semester One

Student Semester One reports are coming home today. Please note that the following areas of the Victorian Curriculum have been assessed this semester:

  • Religious Education
  • English - reading and viewing, writing and speaking and listening
  • Mathematics
  • Health
  • Media Arts (except for Year 5s)
  • Specialist subjects - Drama (Performing Arts), Digital Technologies, Mandarin, Physical Education and Visual Arts

All subjects listed above are taught using the Victoria Curriculum 2.0 and therefore are assessed that way too. Health and Media Arts are taught through inquiry.

Student Reporting – Mathematics Version 2.0

In late 2023, the Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority (VCAA) published its revised Mathematics curriculum (Mathematics curriculum 2.0). On your child's Semester One report, the teacher has reported against the Mathematics Curriculum 2.0, achievement standard as a whole, providing a single, aggregated score. This change happened last year and will continue to be marked in this way, as advised by the Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority (VCAA). Your child's progress in particular areas of mathematics may not be reflected in this overall score.

If you have any questions, please let me know.

Learning Conversations

Please ensure you have booked in for your child's Learning Conversation on either Monday or Tuesday next week. It is a great time to see what your child has been producing from their learning.

Also keep your eyes open when walking down the hallways, we have some amazing student work displayed for you to enjoy looking at.

Wishing you all a safe, warm and healthy break over the holidays.
