Term 2, Week 11
Dear Parents and Carers,
As we come to the end of what has been a very busy 11-week term, I would like to thank our parents for all their support and efforts in supporting our school program and ultimately for supporting our students' learning. I would also like to thank our dedicated teachers for the care and passion they demonstrate to our students each day. And lastly, to our students for the effort they put in each day with their learning. It has been a busy and productive term filled with lots of learning, excursions, incursions and whole school activities. We are so proud of the way our students have challenged themselves, supported one another, and continued to strive to achieve their personal best.
One of the highlights this term has been the strong parent engagement we’ve seen across a number of events. From family faith nights to curriculum showcases and information sessions, your involvement has helped strengthen the partnership between home and school. These opportunities support the positive community culture and shared commitment to your child’s education and wellbeing.
Thank you to the families who attended Parent Teacher Conversations this week. We had 639 bookings over the 2 evenings. These meetings are a great opportunity to celebrate the growth and successes of our students and discuss student goals for next Semester. We value the partnership between home and school and know the powerful impact it has on student achievement, success and wellbeing.
Last Wednesday, we celebrated the Sacred Heart Mass as a whole school. We also acknowledged our refugee families who have joined Our Lady’s school community.
A big thank you to all our families for your generosity in donating food items for St Vincent De Paul. Your kind contributions will be a great comfort to the many families in need in our community.
Congratulations to Hyati Reddy (4B) for being selected to represent Victoria in the Under 12 golf team. This is a fantastic achievement, and we wish Hyati all the best of luck.
Another successful parent engagement evening was held last week with our Year 2 Olden Days Museum and olden day games night. A big thank you to our Year 2 team for the time, creativity and effort that went into preparing such a fun and engaging evening.
Next term, our canteen will be operating with a limited menu, due to the shortage of our canteen staff. The revised canteen menu will be updated and available via the COMPASS Canteen Shop.
We are currently in the process of changing our uniform supplier to LOWES in Broadmeadows. From the 14th July, parents will be able to purchase all uniforms in store or online. We will no longer be carrying any uniforms at school apart from school hats and beanies. All online orders via COMPASS have now ceased.
School Calendar: Please check the School Community Calendar Page for important upcoming events.
Wishing everyone a restful break and see you back at school on Monday, 21st July.
Take Care and God Bless
