AFL 9's

All the grade three and four students went over to Noorat to compete in the AFL 9s round robin competition. The students showed great teamwork and sportsmanship throughout the day and had a fantastic day out.

Jono Box from AFL Victoria was in attendance to set up a great day and provided our students with some information and resources about upcoming football events happening around our district.

Well done also to Lewi Baker and Dakota Mason who participated as Mortlake’s representatives in the longest kick.

A big thank you also to Max Slater and Harley Pickford who came and helped out as umpires for the day.

WINTER NETBALL

Well done to the years five and six students who competed in the Division winter sports mixed netball last Friday at the Reid oval.

It was a fantastic effort to make it to the next level against some tough competition.

Our students came out with a win, a draw and a loss out of our three games.

All students showed great sportsmanship, determination and team work to get such great results against some very strong competition.

A big thank you as well to Sommer Jones and Sadie Baker for helping out on the day as umpires and scorers.
