Principal's Message

From the Principal

Dear Families of Our Lady Star of the Sea,

This Sunday, the Church celebrates the Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ - also known as Corpus Christi. It is a time to reflect on the gift of the Eucharist, the source and summit of our faith. As we reflect as a school community, we are reminded of Christ’s enduring presence among us, and how we are called to be His hands and feet in the world.

Let us pray:

Lord Jesus Christ, You gave us the Eucharist as a memorial of Your suffering and death. May this sacred mystery bring us closer to You and to one another, nourishing us in faith, hope, and love. Amen.

I also hope you enjoyed Wellbeing Week as a family. It was lovely to see students engaging in moments of gratitude, rest, movement, and kindness - and we hope these small actions helped foster a sense of calm and connection in your home as much as they did in our classrooms.

Looking ahead, we’re excited to announce that Multicultural Day will be held on Thursday 25 September. This joyful event will coincide with the International Day of Peace (21 September), reminding us of the beauty of diversity, understanding, and unity. More information will be shared early next term, but for now, save the date - we look forward to celebrating the many cultures that make up our wonderful community at Our Lady Star of the Sea.

A quick reminder that Monday 30 June is a Staff Development Day. There will be no supervision available for students on this day, as staff will be involved in important curriculum work and planning for Term 3.

Finally, on Wednesday 2 July, we look forward to welcoming you to celebrate your child/ren’s Semester 1 achievements at our Parent/ Teacher Conferences. It is always a proud moment to pause, acknowledge growth, and give thanks for all that has been learned and experienced over the first half of the year.

As always, thank you for your continued support and partnership in your child’s education.

God Bless,

Mrs Maria Rose
