HHS goes to Borneo

World Challenge Complete!

On Wednesday 22nd of November, a group of lucky HHS students and staff left Australia to explore the wonders of Borneo. The group have had an amazing time that we are all extremely jealous of. They have:

  • Explored the city of Miri, learning about its culture and history.
  • Visited local temples.
  • Completed treks and hikes - including one to Lambir Hills (which included a well earned waterfall swim).
  • Explored the jungle and developed an understanding of useful plants.
  • Visited a local primary school and helped pour a slab which will be part of a future shelter.
  • Visited the orangutans.

A big thank you to the staff at World Challenge and to the Healesville High School staff that have not only made this experience possible but have also invested their time and energy to ensure that it is a once in a lifetime experience for this group.
