Celebrating YOUth Award

The Legends Band was nominated for an Arts, Music and Culture award through the Yarra Ranges Council YOUth Awards. They were nominated for their great achievements of 2023 including winning the Platinum award at the Victorian School Music Festival and their much appreciated participation in the local events such as ANZAC Day Dawn Service, Remembrance Day, the Healesville Twilight Market and the Healesville Community Carols. There were a number of very talented young people nominated for these awards. On Monday 4th December a small group of students and parents attended the YOUth Awards Ceremony and accepted the certificate from the Yarra Ranges Council. Congratulations to all members of the Legends Band!

Healesville Twilight Market

The Rising Stars and Legends Band made an appearance at the Healesville Twilight Market on Friday December 1st. It was a rainy evening but there were many people around to cheer us on as we performed. This was the Rising Stars Bands first public performance and they played very well with the wind and the rain fighting us the whole time! Then we did a quick stage change and the Legends Band spread some Christmas cheer by performing 20 minutes of Christmas Carols. Congratulations to all students involved in this event.

Healesville Community Christmas Carols

On Saturday December 9 the Legends Band performed a 20 minute set of carols at the Healesville Community Carols. Despite the change to colder and wetter weather very different to the rest of the week the Legends played the carols with much enthusiasm and had a great time getting into the Christmas spirit.
