Berry Street is one of Australia’s largest independent family service organisations and has been operating since 1877. Berry Street exists to ensure all children have a safe and secure home. We believe that children, young people and families should be safe, thriving and hopeful, and this belief is the heartbeat of our organisation.

We need your help!

As of June 2023, the number of foster care enquiries across the sector reached its lowest point in the last 20 years! However, the number of children in care in Victoria has increased by 21% in the last four years. We urgently need more Victorian foster carers to provide care to vulnerable local children and young people (aged 0-17 years) who require a safe and nurturing home.
