From the Parents Committee

Welcome back to 2024. We hope you all had a restful school holiday and are fresh to start 2024.   The PC have plans to run lots of events in 2024 to build and connect our school community. 

First things first, we need to find Class Convenors for each class for 2024. If would like to be a Class Convenor in 2024 please let us know via the 2023 Convenor, inform the office or reach out to Martine Inge. 

We know there is interest in the PC running the 2nd Hand Uniform Shop will be open next Thursday from 3pm – 4pm with eftpos sales only. We need more Uniform Shop volunteers this year - it is a great way to help the school community on a discrete task that only requires about 6 - 8 hours of volunteer time per year. 

Looking ahead, in 2024 we plan to run lots of great events: Garage Sale, Bastille Day, Friday Treats, Mother’s & Father’s Day Stalls and Breakfasts, Diwali and the End of Year Party.   We would also like to run a school disco night (bringing back the 80’s school disco vibes) and an Africa Day in May – if you would like to coordinate or contribute to these events please let us know.  We also have some interested parents who would like to establish a CJC Parent Gardening Team.  Contact us at caulfieldjuniorpc@gmail.com 

The PC 2024 Kick Off Meeting will be held next Friday from 9-10 at School.  All welcome. Room to be advised – ask at the office on the day. 

For all parents and carer’s wishing to volunteer at the school it is essential that you obtain your Working With Children Check – you can apply on line here and it is free for volunteers: Working with Children Check (service.vic.gov.au)
