NAPLAN

National Assessment Program - Literacy and Numeracy

The National Assessment Program – Literacy and Numeracy (NAPLAN) for Years 3, 5, 7 and 9 students is being held in March this year. All year 7 and Year 9 students will complete the assessments online at University High School.

The 2024 NAPLAN Online test window is between Wednesday 13 March and Monday 25 March and assess student knowledge and skills in writing, reading, conventions of language (spelling, grammar and punctuation) and numeracy. Students in Year 7 and Year 9 have had a NAPLAN refresher session where they downloaded the 2024 NAPLAN locked-down browser and practised the types of questions students will answer and the functionalities that are available in NAPLAN tests. These demonstration tests can also be accessed at home via the NAPLAN public demonstration site

All students are expected to participate in the NAPLAN tests. The results of the tests provide information for students, parents, teachers and principals and can be used to improve student achievement.

Please note that if a student is absent they can do a NAPLAN test during one of the Catch-Up sessions that will be scheduled from Monday 18 March to Monday 25 March. If you have any questions, please contact the General Office or Coordinator.
