2023 Reflections

What a year it has been in Myrtle. We have learnt a lot, mostly about ourselves and each other! We have celebrated our successes and urged each other to do better in both our learning and our relationships. We have enjoyed many fun times and experienced some challenging times. Our teachers asked us to reflect upon the year that is 2023. We thought about the excellent times, the challenging times and some of our favourite memories.
Here are just a few of them:
The most excellent time in Myrtle for me has been…
…3/4 camp because we had laser skirmish. I didn't want to go back to school. (Aiden)
…when Mr Prichard had to teach Myrtle and Mrs Woods for a whole term !!! (Barbara)
…when I made it into the Inter-school Cross Country for my first year in grade 3 and I came 69th. (Kobin)
…was jumping over the big puddle at the back of the oval with Flynn, because we
would fall in it all the time. (Archer)
…has been swimming because I went up to level 2. (Jed)
The most challenging time in Myrtle for me has been…
…poetry was challenging because we were making stories, riddles and poems. Rhyming words is hard! (Diya)
…has been Maths, especially when we were tested. (Lucie)
… was the choir and class performance. We had to do so many practices and rehearsals for picture perfect results. (Molly)
…has been doing the hard jobs like writing and finding the red spot job.(Nate)
My favourite memory from Myrtle is…
…having fun with my class because sometimes we do activities all together and clean together and have fun together. (Saira)
…when we were on Camp and we went to laser skirmish and I sniped Mrs Headlam and Mr McGuinness.
…watching the MacKillop High School Musical because it was fun and interesting. (Nina)
…was when I got Mr Prichard for a whole term and we did a lot of fun activities. some outside some inside and when we got work there was always fun to it. (Beau)
…in my opinion “there is no such thing as a favourite memory…all the memories are the best. They should be cherished now because you might forget them” (Aavnish)
