5/6BOC

What an amazing start to the year we have had in 5/6 BOC! We have hit the ground running with our learning and our students have been expressing their creativity through our unit on narratives. 

We have been enriching our vocabulary by learning about morphology and how we can extend and  build our knowledge around a base word. We have been looking at the technical aspects of sentence construction and we are building our understanding around independent and dependent clauses as well as complex and compound sentences.

Students have been challenged to write sentences based on word or picture prompts, and they have been very keen to take risks and share their work with the class. 

It is wonderful when our students see themselves as capable and brave learners and we can't  wait to continue developing interesting and engaging narratives.
