Thanks you!

Thank you to all of the people who helped us with the Pancake Breakfast on Tuesday morning. It was wonderful to see so many students and families enjoy a hearty breakfast. 

A special thanks to Amanda (Maple and Marley in Year 2), Melissa (Lincoln in Year 3), Bernadette (William in Year 3, Thomas in Year 2 and  Sophie in Prep) and Angela (Grandmother to Zara in Year 2) for all your work and help. 

Another thank you to all the families who joined us in the church on Ash Wednesday. 

Lent 2024

Ash Wednesday is the start of our Lenten Journey which finishes on Thursday 28th March 2024. During Lent we focus on Almsgiving, Fasting and Prayer as Father Trung mentioned during the Mass. 

ALMSGIVING: CARITAS

On Wednesday morning 5 students from Year 6 went to Academy of Mary Immaculate for the launch of Project Compassion 2024, where Archbishop Peter (Comensoli) led a prayer service. 

During Lent we raise money for CARITAS and read the stories, such as Memory's story, which can be found here. Over the next couple of weeks we will have some fundraising activities. Your child and their teacher will tell you more about this. 

Together, we can make a difference now, and For All Future Generations.

Prayer 

Heavenly Father, 

during this time of reflection we remember how you lived. 

You showed us how to resist temptation during your time in the desert, 

and through the life you led here on earth. 

As this Lent season begins, remind me that we are but dust. 

We can do nothing without you. 

Help us to see the world through the eyes of those in the first Lent season, 

who awaited a Savior and awaited new life through you. 

Thank you for your sacrifice on the cross, 

and help me to pray, reflect, and thank you. 

Amen.
