General news
UNIFORM :
A reminder that hair should be tidy and boys hair should be short above the collar. The policy states :
HAIR – the boy’s hair is expected to be above the collar at the back and off the eyes at the front. There are to be no extremes of haircuts.
EARRINGS – No costume earrings are allowed. Plain sleepers or studs may be worn.
OTHER JEWELLERY – No jewellery should be worn with the exception of a watch and a religious chain which should be under the clothing. |
If girls hair is long it must be tied up. Boys should not have tails or mullets and no 'manbuns'.
This is a focus so the fact that they may have had this last year is not relevant.
There is some confusion about shoes but they should be black leather. There are some brands that have a sandshoes look (e.g Asics leather black shoe) but are a school shoe and these are fine. (see photo)
Converse shoes are not acceptable or other types of sandshoes. Sports shoes should be predominantly white. We also appreciate and understand that children have feet issues and need to wear specific shoes and this just needs to be communicated to the office and your classroom teacher.
Socks cannot be 'no show' but must be high ankle socks. We are trying to instill respect and would appreciate that you adhere to the uniform policy. We also have a "No Hat No Play" policy. That doesn't mean we play in the shade. Students will be receiving uniform slips if they are consistently not wearing correct uniform or need a hair cut.
HAVE YOU NOTICED?
Each Monday the staff have a Matching Monday theme. This week was stripes. See if you can guess the theme each week!
