St Philomena's Swimming Carnival, McKechnie Shield 

St Philomena's Years 3-10 Swimming Carnival 

The 2024 School Swimming Carnival for years 3-10 splashed with excitement and spirited competition, echoing laughter and cheers at the Warialda Pool last Friday 9th February. Students showcased their swimming ability in a variety of races, including all different strokes while fostering teamwork and sportsmanship. Amidst the colorful banners, memories were made, friendships strengthened, and champions crowned, marking a day of community spirit. Congratulations to McAuley for placing 1st overall on the day.

McKechnie Shield 

On Thursday 14th February, selected students travelled to Narrabri to compete in the local McKechnie Shield. Our very talented swimmers competed extremely well, taking out the overall points score and retaining the McKechnie Shield for 2024. Congratulations to all of our athletes.

Polding Summer Trials- Tennis

On Friday 9th February, Bruce Antees represented the Armidale Diocese  at the Polding Summer Tennis Trials. Throughout the day, in extremely hot weather, Bruce played six games against other Armidale Diocesan players. Bruce showed great sportsmanship and was a wonderful representative of St Philomena's. Well done Bruce!
