From the Head of Sport
With the conclusion of sport for the year last weekend, I would like to thank all those who have helped out over the course of both this season and our winter season. We have had parents and students step up to help with refereeing, coaching, working on the BBQ or in the canteen, scoring and setting up and pulling down fields. Without the support of our community our Saturday sport days would not run so smoothly. Thank you to everyone for all that you do and I hope you have a safe holiday and a wonderful Christmas.
To all our players please ensure that you continue to be active over the break as we come back to four round games and then finals.
Mountain Biking
We currently have a number of students who are competing in School Mountain Biking competitions. As a result we have designed a BMGS top that can be worn for these events. The Uniform Shop would like to place an order for these tops prior to the end of term. Could any students who would like to purchase one of these tops attend the uniform shop to check sizing and place order.

Tennis
Last Saturday we went back to Orange , with the Odds team playing against Scots All Saints. Our Evens team had a Bye. I would like to commend Hugo Lewczak, who after a week of being on Year 8 camp, turned up on Saturday morning to play tennis. Thanks to Chris Lewczak who drove Hugo to Orange and watched him play.
It was a lovely warm and sunny day in Orange and we started off with our Doubles matches. Whilst being unsuccessful, they were often very close with many times having to have a tie-break to complete the set.
In our Singles, Neil played a very entertaining match with some excellent rallies and winners. Unfortunately, his opponent was too strong overall. Hugo Hammon was unlucky in his match, losing 2 sets to 1, with his opponent winning both of the tie-break sets. Jed had a good game against his opponent, but she also proved too strong.
Alex had a good win in his match. Noah, after losing the first set, turned his match around to win the next two sets in tie-breakers. Hugo Lewczak also had a good win in his Singles match, winning the match tie breaker convincingly.
Overall, the score was a loss 14 sets to 7.

You are warmly invited to a Tennis Open Day – see flyer below.
