Dr Marshall Art & Design Awards
Mrs Cooney would like to sincerely and profusely thank the musicians who so willingly provided music at last Friday evening’s Dr Marshall spectacular. We had a variety of styles and instruments and a lovely background ambience was created by these students. Congratulations to Will Louis, Sam Gander, Simeon Gee, James Reynolds, Elizabeth Isbister, Sophia Huckel and Francesca McNair.
Music Camp 2024 – EOI REMINDER
Members of all Co-Curricular Music Ensembles are invited to attend the 2024 Music Camp at The Y Camp Yarramundi from 5-7 April 2024. Music Camp provides a valuable opportunity for our music ensembles to enjoy themselves while getting a head start on learning new repertoire for our 2024 performances. Attending camp is also a great opportunity for our musicians, including those in Year 7 or new to BMGS, to get to know other students and feel part of the co-curricular music team.
We extend a particular invitation to other students who play an instrument and/or sing and who are interested in joining an ensemble in 2024 – come along and see what it is all about!

Senior School Presentation Day Rehearsal
Chamber Ensemble, Senior Orchestra, Stage Band, Senior Rock Band and Concert Band musicians are required for a quick rehearsal and sound check in the Sports Centre on Tuesday 5th December at lunchtime. Please ensure you have your instrument at school and arrive promptly at 12:10pm.
Recall of Hired Instruments
We are now recalling all hire instruments for cleaning and servicing prior to the start of the 2024 school year. This is an important process to ensure that instruments are in the best possible condition for students next year. Please return your instrument by Wednesday, 6th December to the Music Office or School Reception. Let us know if you wish to hire it again next year and it will be cleaned, serviced and reserved for your child to pick up in Term 1 2024.
Flute Concert
Come along to an "Afternoon of Flute Music", a FREE concert on Monday 4th December 5pm-6.45pm in the Recital Room. Mrs Glindemann's flute student will perform a variety of pieces. If past flute concerts are any indication, this will be a very pleasant and entertaining concert. Everyone is welcome to come and support these students.
