CHRISTMAS WISHING TREE - GIFTS FOR LOCAL CHILDREN IN NEED
It is hard to believe that its that time of year already! For many of us Christmas is a fun time filled with excitement. However, due to the rising cost of living many have fallen on crisis, making this time stressful. Families will struggle to afford gifts and provide their children the Christmas they deserve.
For almost 50 years Stonnington and Uniting have been supporting the local community to share in the festive spirit together, especially those who are isolated at Christmas, experiencing homelessness & mental illness, low income families, disabled and the elderly. For the last 3 years the MPS community has supported the Christmas Wishing Tree by providing individual gifts to local children in need. Over 200 children already have registered this year and told us what they would like from Santa. We are seeking your help to make their Christmas wishes come true.
If you would like to participate, please message Clea Syme (0403 349 574) to receive the name, age and Christmas Wish for the child or a family. Gifts are to be new, $30-50, wrapped and labeled with the child’s name. Please drop to the school office by Friday 8 December.
All contributions are greatly appreciated and will bring a smile to the face of a child on Christmas morning. Thank you!
