AROUND THE SCHOOL
We are never alone in sharing the faith, because it is the Lord with me who transmits the faith, and Jesus promised: “I will be with you every day until the end of the world.”

St Laurence O'Toole Primary School acknowledges the traditional custodians of this land, the Bunurong and Gunaikurnai people of the Kulin Nation. We pay our respects to the Aboriginal and Torres Straight Islander cultures, and to the Elders, past, present and emerging.
What a wonderful time we have had celebrating French Day at school today. Margaret Gatehouse has worked tirelessly to bring this day together and we are so proud and grateful to have such a dedicated and committed educator on our team.
There are only three weeks left of school this year and we can see that our students are becoming tired with their amazing minds full after a year of learning. Our teaching teams are working hard to ensure your children are leaving school each day in a positive way and that they continue to have opportunities to experience kindness, care, joy and laughter during each day - we want them to feel good about their day when they greet you.
With this in mind, and as energy levels dwindle with the multitude of events, commitments and promises, I encourage you to focus on the quality and quantity of sleep all our students and families are getting. We all know that electronic devices and screen time can get in the way of sleep so please persist with the rules you have set up around devices and bedrooms when things get busy - after all, we are happiest when we get a good night sleep!
We are very close to confirming our 2024 Teaching Team and I anticipate sharing this news with you soon.
I look forward to seeing you all at the Christmas Market tonight and celebrating the beginning of the festive season with our community.
Liz

On Thursday, 23 November 2023 our Foundation students ventured to the Leongatha CFA. The students were able to chat the CFA volunteers, including our very own Louise Black, and got up close to the CFA vehicles, climbing on board and check out all the bells and whistles.

Graciously hear us, O Lord, when we call upon You, and grant unto our supplications a calm atmosphere, that we, who are justly afflicted for our sins, may, by Your protecting mercy, experience pardon.
Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
