End of Year Student Reports

As we approach the end of a busy Semester 2 for 2023 and all the amazing learning experiences we have had, it is important to note that on Friday 15th December student Semester 2 reports will be available via Compass. These reports will capture the academic achievements in core subjects, such as English and Mathematics as well as our co-curricular and Specialist subject areas, and highlighting the development of our students social and emotional growth.

The end of year reports are a comprehensive reflection of your child's learning journey throughout the year. They highlight their strengths and areas for growth, providing an authentic and holistic view of the student's academic, social and emotional development.

Reading the end of year report with your child offers numerous benefits for parents and students. Some of which include:

Celebrating Achievements: Reading the report together allows parents to celebrate their child's success and accomplishments through the year. It provides an opportunity to acknowledge and praise the student for their hard work and progress.

Understanding Progress: The report helps parents understand their child's academic social and emotional progress over the year. It provides insights into areas of strength, opportunities for areas of growth, giving the parents of comprehensive view of their child's development.

Setting Goals: It allows parents and children to set goals for the upcoming year. It helps in identifying areas where a child may need additional support or opportunities for challenges, and together parents and children can create a plan for continued growth and improvement.

Building Communication: The report fosters open communication between parents and children. It creates a supportive environment where children can feel comfortable discussing their school experiences and seeking guidance from their parents.

Empowering Students: Involving children empowers them to take ownership of their learning journey. It encourages them to reflect on their progress, set goals and take responsibility for their academic journey.

Home and School Partnership: Engaging in conversations about the report strengthens the partnership between home and school. It demonstrates to children that their education is a shared priority between their parents and their teachers.

As we celebrate the end of another successful school year, let's use the opportunity the reports provide as a tool to recognise our students' accomplishments and guide their learning journey into 2024 and beyond.

If you do have any questions or queries regarding your child's report and wish to discuss this further, please do not hesitate to contact the school.
