In Reading this week we will continue to look at a range of comprehension strategies including asking and answering questions whilst reading. 

VOCABULARY

Questioning: Something we ask about a book to assist us in understanding a story better 

ACTIVITIES YOU CAN DO AT HOME TO SUPPORT YOUR CHILD'S LEARNING

Using any book that you have at home ask your child as they read to ask questions about the book they are reading. Record the questions down on a piece of paper and then as your child reads or after they have read discuss together whether the answer was in the book. If so, locate the answer together and write it beneath the question.
