Prep News - Exploring Rainforests and Habitats

What an exciting week it has been in Prep! We were lucky to have a special incursion where we learnt all about the Australian rainforest. The students were captivated by a range of puppets who helped us discover important facts about this unique habitat and the incredible animals that call it home.

This incursion tied in perfectly with our current Science unit on habitats and our English focus on ‘Creature Feature’ information texts. It was a fantastic way to bring our learning to life and deepen our understanding of how animals rely on their environments to survive.

The students had a wonderful time and are now even more excited to continue exploring the natural world around them!

Student Council Superhero Month - Our Kindness Campaign 

Dear Awesome Heroes,

Get ready to unleash your inner superhero! The moment we’ve all been waiting for is here! The Student Council is beyond excited to announce our spectacular project that kicked off on Monday, June 2nd, 2025, and will continue each Monday until the end of term. We NEED YOU to join in the fun!

Let’s show everyone how super we can be! Our fantastic councillors will unveil all the exciting activities planned for the following four Mondays, where donning a cape is optional — but encouraged if you want to feel that superhero spirit!

**Here’s what we have in store for you:**

🌟 **Every Monday Madness!** Join us for international and cooperative games on the oval during the first break. Plus, get ready for a special tuckshop menu surprise! Please keep your eyes peeled because our councillors and Peer Mediators will be looking for the next superstar to win the coveted Superhero Award!

🎨 **Superhero Creations!** In Weeks 7 & 8, fly on over to the library and unleash your creativity! You can make your very own superhero drawing. Who knows what amazing characters you’ll come up with?

📜 **Epic Storytelling!** Weeks 9 & 10 will feature our thrilling Superhero Story Writing competition in the library. Don’t forget, there will also be some sneaky changes to the tuckshop goodies during this time!

🎉 **Superhero Dress Day!** We’ll have a Superhero Dress Day in Week 10 to wrap it up in style! Wear your favourite superhero outfit for a gold coin donation. Let’s see your superhero selves shine!

So, mark your calendars and get those capes ready! We can’t wait to celebrate our incredible superhero selves with you all. Together, let’s make these Mondays truly heroic!
