Are your gutters filling with autumn leaves?
Heading into winter, our Manningham SES volunteers start to see a large number of requests for assistance coming through for ceiling collapses.
It's not just trees and branches down, during heavy rains. When gutters are full of debris the water tends to flow to the lowest point to find an outlet - usually through the ceiling, unfortunately.
We have put together this reminder to ensure your home and businesses are storm ready and hopefully not impacted by heavy rains.
If you need storm emergency assistance, call us on 132 500, 24hrs a day 365 days a year, or if life-threatening, call Triple Zero (000).
You can find out more ways to be prepared and Storm Safe here.

With the world changing rapidly, and knowledge easily accessible through the internet and AI, it has become more important for our youth to learn crucial skills to differentiate themselves. However, the focus can often still be on “knowledge”, leaving teens to develop such skills primarily through experiential learning.
Mind Frame Grow addresses this gap by explicitly teaching and building problem solving and communication skills in youth through interactive workshops, facilitated by a former Melbourne University lecturer.
The result is an empowered individual who feels prepared and confident to approach any challenge or opportunity in life.
To learn more or to secure your child’s place in our Term 3 workshops in Doncaster, please visit us on www.mindframegrow.com or call 0431 314 836.
