School Tours

One of the most rewarding aspects of my role is leading school tours for prospective Foundation families. It's a joy to showcase the vibrant learning environment we've cultivated here at Box Hill North Primary School.

Our school offers a unique nine-year educational journey, beginning with our on-site kindergarten and seamlessly transitioning into the primary years. This continuity provides children with a stable and nurturing foundation for their educational development.

Our dedicated staff are committed to delivering high-quality teaching and learning programs. We emphasise a well-rounded curriculum that fosters curiosity, creativity, and a lifelong love of learning.

We are also fortunate to have a strong and connected community. Our active parent community plays a vital role in supporting a positive experience for every child and their family, with opportunities to be involved in various school activities and events.

I encourage all interested families to book a tour and experience firsthand the engaging and supportive environment that defines Box Hill North Primary School. If you know anyone who is currently touring schools for Foundation 2026, please encourage them to come on tour with our School Captains; Riarn and James.

Reconciliation Week

As we approach National Reconciliation Week, observed annually from 27 May to 3 June, I invite our school community to engage in reflection, learning, and meaningful action. This year's theme, Bridging Now to Next, encourages all Australians to honour our shared history, acknowledge the present, and work collaboratively towards a more united future.

National Reconciliation Week commemorates two significant milestones in Australia's journey towards reconciliation: the 1967 Referendum, which recognised Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in the census, and the 1992 Mabo decision, which acknowledged native title rights.

Throughout the week, our students will participate in various classroom activities designed to deepen their understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories and cultures. These activities aim to foster respect, empathy, and a commitment to justice and equity among our young learners.

We are also encouraging families to engage in conversations at home about the importance of reconciliation and to explore resources that support this learning journey. Together, we can build bridges from our current understanding to a future grounded in mutual respect and shared values.
