Learning this week:
In Week 5, we are researching, interpreting and identifying the impacts and perspectives of colonisation through exploring a range of historical texts, media and class games.
In Reader’s and Writer’s Workshop, classes are exploring information texts and their features, while developing skills during spotlight sessions on note taking and summarising. We are also developing drafting skills to construct information reports.
Mathematics: We are focusing on fractions with Year 3s learning about basic fractions and sharing amounts equally and Year 4s learning about equivalent fractions/ mixed fractions and decimals.
Christian Studies: Exploring decision making and the 10 Commandments in the Bible; Thinking about listening, communicating, praying and influences, morals/ ethics through a range of Bible Stories to recognise how our decisions impact interactions and relationships with others.
