From the Leadership Team

Mission Statement comes to LIFE

“Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others.”

1 Peter 4:10

How amazing when all parts of the College are working together such that Endeavour College is a place where each student and staff member are developing their God-given abilities for LIFE and community.

This week has been a reminder of this, for me. These achievements do not come easy - they have been hard fought in terms of the effort that has had to be put in to ensure overall success. These students have struggled in what could be called the 'learning pit'* - wrestled with ideas, thoughts, solutions and what success looks like.

The Rijken Cup squad has trained and now completed their competitions (we will recount the competition in full in the next edition of the Anchor).

Cabaret, the culmination of this year's work and practice allows those with talents in Music to shine.

Year 11 Food and Hospitality students saw their hard work throughout many weeks come together as they prepared, ate and shared a gourmet picnic.

Imogen talked to the Year 7s as part of their Discovery time about her developing passion for welding and what she created as a result of Discovery in 2023. The Year 7s and the way they have been curiously investigating an area of passion, showing courage and resilience has been a blessing to witness.

The Year 9 Middle Years Leaders attended a leadership workshop to develop their capacities as leaders in the College. Debating, Pedal Prix, STEMIE and Chess are all ramping up for a new season requiring a high degree of effort and talent.

The Year 11 Christian Living classes continue to visit Ingle Farm Primary to support the Breakfast Program and the Year 12 Essential English students are pushing their boundaries by creating a series of lessons for younger classes in the immersive VR zones.

Ms Congedi has been with learning co-spaces a have some of the Digital Technology students, and has created a series VR worlds for Connected School to use as part of the upcoming Connected Schools Workshops. Behind many of these courageous forays into the XR zones is Year 12 Miles Pennington, who has used his gifts and talents to create a series of graphics for a range of places including the Discovery Centre. He has also been instrumental in supporting staff and students coming to the immersive VR zones.

What a range of learning challenges accepted! This list does not even touch the courage and effort being expended in the rest of the classes that are occurring.

How proud we should be!

"Learning is the only thing the mind never exhausts, never fears, and never regrets.” – Leonardo da Vinci.
