From the Principal

Next week is National Reconciliation Week with the theme Now More Than Ever.

Now More Than Ever the work continues in Reconciliation across Australia and further continues here as well.

Endeavour College is built on the values of Lutheran Education Australia and hold a commitment to reconciliation.

As an inclusive College community made up of a diverse range of cultural backgrounds, we celebrate, accept and respect all. We each have our unique identities and stories, yet come together here at Endeavour College, united in heart and mind.

At the heart of reconciliation is relationships and it is relationships that are at the core of the Endeavour College community.

We are enthusiastic about the opportunities that our Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) brings to our school community.

We hope that this will further develop diversity and inclusion at Endeavour College and play a small part in contributing to the wider story of reconciliation in Australia.

It is fitting that the theme for Reconciliation Week 2024 is Now more than ever and the signing of the Commitment to Reconciliation by members of our community shows our heart to fully embed our RAP in all that we do.

On Friday 31 May, we will officially sign our 'Commitment to Reconciliation' at our assembly.

We value:

  • the continuing richness of First Nations cultures and heritages
  • the contributions of past and present First Nations individuals to Australia’s national identity
  • the diverse stories of our students, families and staff
  • mutual relationships built on trust and respect

We commit:

  • to promoting equality, equity and social justice
  • to honouring the heritages of our First Nations students and supporting them in pathways which empower their futures
  • to collaborating with First Nations peoples to co-create a sense of pride which empowers our journey towards a reconciled Australia
  • actively promoting our Reconciliation Action Plan, which has learning at its heart.

We invite our parents and friends community to join us and Cliffy Wilson at the smoking ceremony and the signing of our Commitment to Reconciliation.

Invitation attached.

We look forward to walking this journey of reconciliation alongside you.
