A Special Visitor: Year 10 Religion and Ethics

Mrs Laura Gilbert, Middle Leader Religious Education

Year 10 Religion and Ethics students were visited by Imam Ibrahim Abdullah Newman during Week 5 as part of their World Religions and Spirituality unit.  The Imam spoke about the commonalities between the Abrahamic faiths, Judaism, Christianity and Islam, and how spiritualism is understood and practiced in the Islamic tradition.

We thank Imam Ibrahim for his engaging and enthusiastic presentation, which challenged students to think about their own understandings of spirituality and the real-world importance of learning about other religions.
