This morning our Prep - 2 cohort visited Lakeview Childrens Centre to perform a mini concert with Emily. Our students have been learning new songs along with actions, and some tricky harmony changes this semester, and performed perfectly as a group. The children enjoyed being back in a very familiar space and seeing their kinder teachers watching on proudly. To add to the excitement, Lakeview were celebrating International Prirate Day! A big thank you to Emily for her organisation and to and all who attened for their support.
The Year 5 and 6 students departed school early on Tuesday to head off on their Wilsons Prom Camp. On the way, they enjoyed a lunch stop at Gumnut Park in Donnybrook, and on Wednesday morning started off with a surf lesson and some much loved beach time. The staff and instructors all commented on how impressed they were by our students and they are all feeling very proud of their achievement. This afternoon, they are off on a hike, after having spent some more time on the beach and learning about the micro and macro invertebrates that can be found in Tidal River.
More to follow in next weeks newsletter.
Last Friday all students travelled by bus to Tawonga Memorial Park for the Upper Kiewa Valley Cluster Cross Country, hosted by Tawonga Primary School. Students from Falls Creek and Dederang also joined us. From all reports, our students had great day. A shout out to our year 5 and 6 students who not only ran 3 laps of the course for their race, but also supported their Prep buddy on their lap.
