Year 2 Students Create Clouds in the Lab!

Our Year 2 students had an amazing experience on Wednesday 15 May when they visited the science labs and got to be real scientists under the guidance of our esteemed Senior School Science Teacher, Mrs Erin Gibson.

In a special hands-on experiment, they learned how to make a cloud! This fun and educational activity complemented their recent science lessons on the water cycle.

Former Junior School students, now in Year 7, guided the Year 2 students up to the Senior School Science Labs at the beginning of Period 4. With excitement in the air, the young scientists combined warm water, ice, and hairspray to watch clouds form right before their eyes.

Year 2 were thrilled to see science in action and left the Senior School Science Labs with a newfound appreciation for the wonders of the water cycle.

It was a day filled with curiosity, learning, and, of course, plenty of clouds!

Pentecost Celebration

On Wednesday 15 May our Junior school celebrated the season of Pentecost in our chapel service. We wrote blessings on paper the colour of fire and flew them as a blessing to our whole Junior school community. Each student received a blessing at random from another student. We remember the Holy Spirit came in like a wild wind and was a blessing for all people.
